Regular Membership
Open to persons over eighteen years of age who are residents of the United States.
Regular members benefits include:
The opportunity to be involved in the AACDT to make a personal impact on the health and well being of the Coton de Tulear by serving as Board members, delegates, committee chairs and committee members.
Members will have voting rights on all proposals that are made by the Club to insure the future of our breed.
Membership further includes:
Fully recognized registry capability.
Ability to achieve Championship Status, with a comprehensive ranking system.
Monthly updates on "What's Happening in the World of the Coton de Tulear" , published in the newsletter, "Coton Columns".
"Member exclusive" password access to important information provided on our web site. (in progress)
International Membership
Open to members 18 years and older who live outside of the USA.
These members will enjoy all of the benefits of Regular USA Membership, with the exception of holding office.
Junior Membership
Open to persons under eighteen years of age who reside in the United States. Junior members are not eligible for Code of Ethics membership. Junior members enjoy all additional privileges of the Club, as defined by the by-laws, except the right to vote and to hold office. Junior members may convert to regular membership, as per their eligibility as defined by the by-laws, upon reaching their 18th birthday.
Family Membership
Open to persons over eighteen years of age living in the same household and enjoy all the benefits of regular membership.This membership shall provide for 2 votes in all Club matters requiring a vote.
Code of Ethic Membership
Open to persons over eighteen years of age who are residents of the United States. Code of Ethics members will enjoy the privileges of the most prestigious COE designation in the USA. Our members will be able to exhibit the importance they place in healthy breeding and genetic research, by joining our COE. There is also the opportunity to receive a "5 Star Litter" designation by performing additional required health tests.
All of our COE breeders will receive unparalleled support from the Cub, via announcements of upcoming litters and both puppy and adult dog availability, through the AACDT web site, regular Internet Club updates and listings in the monthly newsletter, "Coton Columns".
Those breeders who qualify for "5 Star Litter" status will be featured on the web site as well as the newsletter. This is a breeding, displaying the emphasis their kennel places on the health of the Coton de Tulear they produce. The significance impact these litters will have on the future of our breed will be heralded by the AACDT through all available means.
New Breeders are invited to join AACDT Code of Ethics, after they have bred their first litter following the required health test guidelines outlined in the COE.
Two sponsors will be required for admission. You will find the Code of Ethics Breeders application, as well as, the sponsorship application, in the "Forms" section of this web site.
